Goldminen-Crash: Barrick Gold fällt mit enormem Handelsvolumen auf ein neues 25-Jahrestief

Nach dem 23-Jahrestief folgt nun das 25-Jahrestief. Es scheint kaum zu fassen. Vor allem wenn man bedenkt, dass der Goldpreis Anfang der 90er bei rund 350 USD pro Feinunze notierte.

Beim weltgrößten Goldförderer Barrick Gold (NYE:ABX) ging es wie bei allen großen Goldproduzenten letzte Woche weiter kräftig abwärts. Und erneut gab es eine massive Underperformance zum Goldpreis.

In den letzten Tagen nahm das Ganze schon wirklich crashartige Szenen an, Angst und Panikverkäufe machten sich breit. Beeindruckend war auch das Handelsvolumen am Freitag, welches den Abwärtsdruck nochmals beschleunigte.

"The sell-off was led by Barrick Gold Corp (NYSE:ABX, TSE:ABX), the world's top producer of the metal, which tumbled 5% to the lowest in USD terms since 1990. More than 22m shares changed hands, double the usual daily volume for the share."
