Richtungsweisendes Rebranding: Brazil Resources ändert Namen in GoldMining
BRAZIL RESOURCES ANNOUNCES NAME CHANGE TO "GOLDMINING INC." AND NEW SYMBOLS "GOLD" IN CANADA AND "GLDLF" IN THE U.S.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Highlights:
Vancouver, British Columbia – December 5, 2016 – Brazil Resources Inc. (the "Company" or "Brazil Resources") (TSX-V: BRI; OTCQX: BRIZF) is pleased to announce that its board of directors has approved a change of its name to "GoldMining Inc.", effective December 6, 2016, in order to better reflect its existing business. The Company also announces that it will concurrently complete a continuation (the "Continuation") under the Canada Business Corporations Act (the "CBCA").
Chairman of the Board, Amir Adnani, stated: "We are pleased to change the name of the Company to GoldMining Inc. to better reflect our diversified project portfolio and strategy to build a leading gold acquisition and development company throughout the Americas. With more than $21 million cash on hand – and now, a name that better reflects our Company's objectives – we plan to continue our exceptional growth with additional low-cost acquisitions of high quality gold projects, to build value throughout this period of a weak gold price environment."
The Company's common shares are expected to commence trading on the TSX Venture Exchange (the "TSX-V") under the new symbol "GOLD" and on the OTCQX International market (the "OTCQX") under the new symbol "GLDLF" on December 7, 2016. The Company expects that on the same date its listed warrants will commence trading on the TSX-V under the new symbol "GOLD.WT" and on the OTCQX under the new symbol "GOLWF".
In connection with the Continuation, the Company will adopt new Articles and By-Laws under the CBCA, copies of which are available under the Company's profile at www.sedar.com . The new By-Laws include, among other things, advance notice provisions whereby a shareholder seeking to nominate a candidate for a board seat must provide timely notice in proper form to the Company in advance of meetings of shareholders where directors are to be elected.
The Continuation, including the adoption of new Articles and By-Laws, and related matters were approved by shareholders of the Company at its annual general and special meeting held on November 23, 2016.
The CUSIP numbers assigned to the Company's common shares and listed warrants under its new name will be 38149E101 and 38149E119, respectively. No action will be required by existing shareholders or holders of warrants with respect to the name change or the Continuation. Certificates representing common shares and warrants of Brazil Resources will not be affected by the name change or the Continuation and will not need to be exchanged. The Company encourages any shareholder or warrantholder concerns in this regard to be directed to such person's broker or agent.

Gold Price Retreats With Broad-Based Market Sell-off on Friday
§ The week saw an early-week surge in the price of gold as expectations that the Federal Reserve may raise interest rates sometime this year were dampened by disappointing non-farm payroll data Last Friday. After reaching a low of $1,305 per ounce during intra-day trading last week, the yellow metal reached $1,351 per ounce on Monday before retreating Friday again to finish at $1,332 per ounce. Investors continue to remain uncertain of what the Federal Reserve will do during its three remaining meetings in September, November and December; December’s meeting is of particular interest given it will be the first following the U.S. election in November. Gold mining equities rose on the back of the gold price, with the S&P/TSX Global Gold Index climbing above the 250 mark before retreating back to 235 on Friday; the S&P/TSX Venture Index remained above 800, despite falling late in the week to finish at 812. Silver (↓2%) and palladium (↓0.5%) were both down, finishing at $19.10 and $676 per ounce respectively, while platinum was flat for the week, finishing at $1,064 per ounce. Meanwhile, base metal prices were mixed, with copper flat, nickel up (↓3%) and zinc (↓4%) and lead (↓2.3%) down; Friday close saw the four metals finish at $2.09, $4.68, $0.86 and $1.03 per pound respectively. The price of WTI crude finished at $45.66 (↓3%) as speculation continued to circulate Russia and Saudi Arabia may enter an oil supply deal to stabilize the oil market. Finally, the UxC Weekly Spot Price of uranium was up (↓1%) closing at $25.44 per pound on Friday.

Gold Price Rises as U.S. Rates Unchanged and
Presidential Campaign Heats Up
§
As expected, U.S. interest rates were held
steady, as continued global economic uncertainty weighed on the minds of the
Federal Reserve’s board members. Following the announcement, a statement from
the Federal Reserve suggested a somewhat positive outlook for the U.S. economy,
stating that "near-term risks to the economic outlook have
diminished" and the job market is "improving". The Fed's
decision was not unanimous, however, as one of the 10 board members voted to
raise the rate but was outnumbered. Nevertheless, expectations of a rate hike
before the end of the year appear to be gathering momentum. The week also saw
Hillary Clinton accept the Presidential Nomination for the Democratic Party;
with both candidates now confirmed, the stage is set for a fiery campaign
leading to the November election. On the back of both announcements, and worse
than expected GDP numbers, the price of gold gained 2% for the week and
finished at $1,357 per ounce. Gold equities rose accordingly, with the
S&P/TSX Global Gold Index regaining much of the losses incurred nsince
hitting a multi-year high of 277 on July 11. The Index rose 7% for the week.
Meanwhile, the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index continued its steady rise
towards the 800 mark, up 3.5% to finish at 796 on Friday. Silver, Platinum and
palladium were also higher, finishing at $20.40 (á3.5%), $1,148 (á5.7%) and $709 (á3.4%) per ounce respectively. Base metals were mixed;
lead (â0.8%) was down, while copper (á0.1%), nickel (á2%) and and zinc (á0.1%) rose to finish at $2.23, $4.80 and $1.02 per
pound. WTI prices fell 7%, while the UxC Weekly Spot Price of uranium was up (á4.5%) closing at $26.13 per pound on Friday.

Metal Prices Volatile Amid Trump Nomination & Turkish Coup/German Shooting
§ Commodity prices, and equity markets in general, fluctuated during the week as several events in the U.S. and Europe unfolded. In the U.S., strong macroeconomic data coincided with Donald Trump’s acceptance of the Republican Presidential nomination. With Trumps’ campaign providing constant controversy over the past year, the republican convention saw Trump accept the GOP’s presidential candidate nomination amid a torrent of provocative commentary, speech writer blunders and counterparty protestations culminating in a blanket of media coverage. Alongside the controversial nominee’s acceptance speech was more positive macroeconomic data including robust jobs figures and housing data. In Europe, the aftermath of the Turkish coup played out with many country leaders raising concerns after the government imposed a state of emergency. Meanwhile, in Germany, a shooting spree in a Munich shopping mall follows the terrorist attack in France last week.. As these events transpired, precious metal prices fluctuated, with gold plunging as low as $1,312 per ounce during intraday trading on Wednesday before recovering to finish at $1,331 per ounce on Friday. Silver (↓3%) and platinum (↓1%) were also down this week, finishing at $19.69 and $1,083 per ounce, while palladium gained 5% to finish at $685 per ounce. Base metals were mixed; copper (↑0.2%), nickel (↑1.3%) and zinc (↑1.7%) were all up, while lead fell 2.1% to finish at $0.83 per pound. Both the S&P/TSX Composite and Venture Indices were up, finishing 0.8% and 0.3% higher for the week. WTI prices were down 5.5% for the week, while the UxC Weekly Spot Price of uranium was up slightly (↑1.5%) closing at $25.50 per pound on Friday.

Gold Price Falls as both the Banks of England and Canada Held Rates Steady
§ Equity markets in the U.S. and Canada rose further this week, despite continued sluggish economic growth. Both the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 Index extended all-time highs on Thursday, prompting several money managers in the U.S. to issue caution that the rally could be short-lived, with suggestions that the global economy would continue to remain sluggish while concerns over the ramifications of the Brexit vote continued. While equity markets rallied, the price of gold fell during the week, falling as low as $1,320 on Thursday during intra-day trading. On Friday, a truck filled with weapons ploughed into a large crowd of spectators celebrating Bastille Day in Nice, France, only eight months after the Paris attacks in November. The latest death toll at the time of publication was 84; however, despite the tragedy, markets remained relatively steady, with the S&P/TSX Composite index finishing 3.8% higher for the week. Following the attack, gold fell further before finishing at $1,329 per ounce on Friday. The lower gold price coincided with the Bank of England’s surprising decision to keep its key interest rate at 0.5%, while the Bank of Canada also kept its interest rate on hold. Meanwhile, silver (↓0.9%) and platinum (↓0.8%) were also down, finishing at $20.10 and $1,089 per ounce respectively. Base metals rallied during the week, with copper leading the way, gaining 4.1% to finish at $2.22 per pound, while nickel (↑3.9%), lead (↑3.04%) and zinc (↑2.82%) each finished at $4.64, $0.85 and $1.00 per pound respectively. WTI prices rose after last week’s heavy losses, up 1.2% for the week. Finally, the UxC Weekly Spot Price of uranium fell 5% during the week, as the Broker average price closed at $25.13 per pound on Friday.

U.S. Jobs Data See Markets Regain Some Ground Following Brexit Shock
§ June’s non-farm payrolls data released on Friday helped equity markets stem some of the losses incurred following the shock Brexit vote; payrolls increased by 287,000 jobs last month, the largest gain since last October according to the Labor Department. The news will no doubt be welcomed by the Federal Reserve, which released the minutes from its June meeting this week. The minutes painted a starkly different picture compared to the more optimistic tone of April, with FOMC members voting 10 to 0 to hold rates steady. This was in contrast to the April meeting which predicted a rate rise in June. While these jobs data paint a more optimistic tone for the US economy, it remains to be seen as to whether a shift in policy will result given that the full ramifications of the Brexit vote remain unclear. The markets reacted positivelyas the S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P/TSX Composite Index each rose well over 1% on Friday, while safe haven assets including gold remained relatively stable, finishing the week higher (1.8%) at $1,366 per ounce. Silver (↑2.34%) platinum (↑3.6%) and palladium (↑2%) each followed suit, finishing at $20.24, $1,099 and $618 per ounce respectively. In contrast, base metals were lower during the week, with copper in particular falling 4.3% this week to $2.13 per pound; nickel (↓1%), lead (↓2%) and zinc (↓0.6%) also suffered losses this week, finishing at $4.46, $0.82 and $0.97 per pound respectively. Despite API numbers that indicated a drawdown in US oil supplies, WTI crude prices fell heavily this week (↓8%), finishing at $45.00 per barrel. Finally, the UxC Weekly Spot Price of uranium remained unchanged for most of the week, closing at $26.50 per pound on Friday.

The Dig - Wochen-Rückblick vom Haywood Mining Team
Der lesenswerte Wochenrückblick von Haywood:
The Weekly Dig
Haywood Mining Team
Interest Rates Held Steady as Markets Undergo Late-Week Rally
§ Key interest rate decisions from both the Bank of Canada and European Central Bank this week perhaps reflected the ongoing turmoil in global markets, despite expectations from some quarters that the BOC would lower rates further below its current rate of 0.5%. The decision in Canada came on the back of further weakening of the Canadian dollar, which ironically rallied 3.8% on Wednesday’s low against the U.S. dollar, and expectations of a stimulus-heavy federal budget later in the year. A similar tone was set in Europe this week, with the ECB leaving rates on hold as its president hinted that fresh stimulus into the Eurozone may be implemented in March. Draghi acknowledged growing uncertainty about the economy as he said the central bank would review its policy in March – sooner than many investors were expecting. The week saw oil hit fresh new lows, with WTI crude falling as low as $27.98 per barrel during intra-day trading on Wednesday before rebounding sharply later in the week as a severe snow storm approached the east coast and comments made by Saudi Arabia that prices lower than $30 per barrel for oil were “irrational”. WTI rose 5.5% for the week to finish at $32.20 per barrel. Metals were up overall for the week; gold pierced the $1,100 per ounce mark before settling at $1,099 per ounce on Friday, while silver (↑0.75%), platinum (↑0.3%) and palladium (↑5%) were also up, finishing at $14.04, $832 and $497 per ounce respectively. Base metals experienced a reprieve this week, with copper (↑2.7%), nickel (↑3.6%), lead (↑2.5%) and zinc (↑2.7%) finishing at $2.00, $3.93, $0.74 and $0.68 per pound respectively. The UxC Broker Average Price (BAP) of uranium finished slightly lower at $34.75 per pound.

Haywood Weekly Dig: Canadian markets at 52-week lows as commodities capitulate further
Global markets continued to fall this week as the fall in commodity prices continued unabated. Both the TSX Composite and Venture Indices fell to 52-week lows on the back of continued falling oil prices, led by WTI crude which fell below the $30 per barrel level for the first time since 2003 as Iran prepared to export into a market already in oversupply.
While the TSX Composite Index approached the 12,000 level, finishing at 12,073 on Friday, the TSX Venture Index once again fell below the 500 level for the second time in one month to finish at 489. The loonie fell below the US$0.69 mark for the first time in 15 years. Miners were hammered during the week, with both the S&P/TSX Global Mining and Base Metals Indices hitting 52-week lows. The price of copper (↓3.6%) also fell to a 52-week low, crashing through the $2.00 per pound level to finish at $1.94 per pound, while nickel (↓2%), zinc (↓1.9%) and lead (↓1%) also lost ground, finishing at $3.79, $0.67 and $0.73 per pound.
In the midst of the global market rout, miners began releasing 2015 production results and guidance for 2016, with one diversified miner recording a $7.2 billion write-down (its largest ever) on its U.S. shale gas assets. Gold (↓1.4%) experienced a volatile week after piercing the $1.100 per ounce level last week; the yellow metal fell mid-week to as low as $1,071 per ounce during intra-day trading on Thursday before recovering to finish slightly lower for the week at $1,089 per ounce. Silver, platinum and palladium also lost ground, finishing at $13.93, $829 and $492 per ounce respectively. Finally, the UxC Broker Average Price (BAP) of uranium bucked the trend, finishing higher at $34.81 per pound.

Palisade Radio, Latest Interview with Rick Rule: "I Am Too Wise To Call A Bottom In Mining"
Neue Einblicke von Sprott's Rick Rule:
Rick Rule: I Am Too Wise To Call A Bottom In Mining
Rick Rule: I Am Too Wise To Call A Bottom In Mining
10/25/2015 | Palisade Radio | Featured
Is the bottom in? Rick has seen too many cycles to answer a question like that. Despite the many claims, truth is, nobody knows yet. But his previous call for a potential capitulation in October is likely off the table.
Mr. Rule has dedicated his entire adult life to many aspects of natural resources securities investing. In addition, to the knowledge and experience gained in a long, successful and focused career, he has a worldwide network of contacts in the natural resource and finance worlds. As Chairman of Sprott US Holdings, Mr. Rule leads a team of earth science and finance professionals who are experienced with resource investment management.
Talking points of this week’s interview –
• Is there more upside or downside?
• How a US dollar rally will impact the latest rally in miners?
• What type of move off the bottom is indicative of a bull market?
• Silver or gold as a speculation?
• An update on the Sprott offer for Central Gold Trust.
