MUST READ.
What was it like Dad?
POSTED ON JUNE 22, 2015 - BY BRENT COOK - CATEGORY STORIES,

First published in Brent Cook’s Exploration Insights newsletter – June 14, 2015.
It was tough kid. We were just coming out of the most perfect spring. The fruit trees were all in blossom, streams filled with fish, deer abounded, and we were all feeling pretty right with the world—we owned it and were the chosen ones.
Then we headed out across the flats, believing the prophets that the next paradise, just over the horizon, was even better. But the horizon never came, the land turned to salt flats and dust; the temperature reached 110°, day after day after day. We burned and suffered. The roving bandits knew we were doomed and had no interest in what little we had left. Each promising oasis was a mirage and one by one we lost our way, numbed and staggering in all directions. We lost nearly everyone on that journey which began so optimistically—and naively.
It was brutal and devastating kid; I hope to never go through that again. But some of us did survive to carry on, and I’m here to tell you about it..

Bankenkrise, Lehman Brothers 2.0: Die Fortsetzung in Vorbereitung?

Barclays Crashes To 18-Month Lows
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 06/26/2014 11:48 -0400 - Barclays ETC
First, it was gold manipulation and now alleged equity market rigging; it seems investors (and customers) have finally had enough. Barclays stock price is down over 8% today and trading back at 18 month lows. Of course, we will hear that this is the kitchen sink quarter etc... "remember the London Whale" but the trail of alleged fraud (and the damning emails) suggests catching this falling knife is anything but a "no brainer"...

The Elephant In The Room: Deutsche Bank's $75 Trillion In Derivatives Is 20 Times Greater Than German GDP
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 04/28/2014 14:56 -0400
It is perhaps supremely ironic that the last time we did an in depth analysis of Deutsche Bank's financial situation was precisely a year ago, when the largest bank in Europe (and according to some, the world), stunned its investors with a 10% equity dilution. Why the capital raise if everything was as peachy as the ECB promised it had been? It turned out, nothing was peachy, and in fact DB would proceed to undergo a massive balance sheet deleveraging campaign over the next year, in which it would quietly dispose of all the ugly stuff on its balance sheet during the relentless Fed and BOJ-inspired "dash for trash" rally in a way not to spook investors about everything else that may be beneath the Deutsche covers..

How Much More Upside Is There?
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 06/06/2014 10:22 -0400
For 5 years the correlation between the expansion of the Federal Reserve's balance sheet and the growth of the S&P 500 has risen dramatically. Since QE3 was unveiled, the correlation is converging on 1 which of course is just happy coincidence and nothing to do with the free and easy flow of liquidity that month after month of Fed largesse has created. The problem is we now know that the hurdles to a Fed un-Taper are very high and so we can extrapolate the end-point for the Fed's balance sheet and where stocks would trade at that point. The S&P 500's recent exuberance has priced in the total expansion of the Fed's balance sheet to the end of the taper, so how much more upside is there..?

Big Picture: Globale Schulden-Manie erreicht neues Level

Are Central Banks Losing Control Of The Gold Market?
Jan. 26, 2014 12:00 PM ET
The gold futures (paper) markets have become an entity (virtual casino) all on its own with the central banks as the house in control. Since the highs made in September 2011 above the 1900 level, we have seen nothing but persistence central bank naked short selling against a background of relentless demand by China and its neighboring economies. This has skewed the real balance of supply and demand globally by historic proportions..

Artikelempfehlung: The fiat money quantity FMQ
Review - starker Artikel:
The fiat money quantity FMQ
This paper seeks to establish a measure of currency quantity that helps economists identify and estimate the risk that confidence in fiat currencies might be significantly eroded or even vanish altogether. It is this phenomenon that was referred to in the great European currency inflations of the 1920s as Katastrophenhausse, or a crack-up boom, when ordinary people lose all confidence in a fiat currency, disposing of it as rapidly as possible instead preferring ownership of goods..
